Black Fire / White Fire: An Adventure in Midrash

Our sages taught that the Torah was written in black fire on white fire — the black fire being the words on the page and the white the empty spaces in -between that create a world of possibility. Join Torah scholar, teacher and emerging rabbi Sivan Rotholz. Sivan for an epic exploration of midrash, from the ancient rabbinic to the modern creative. This six-week series will introduce lesser-known characters, including Lilith, Adam's first wife, and allow us to reconsider who the real heroes and villains of our tradition are.

Restrictions

REFUND POLICY

For classes that meet 6 weeks or longer, a full refund may be requested after the first class meeting. After the second class, a CREDIT of 75% will be given that may be used toward any course and is good for one year. No credit will be given after the third class. Tuition cannot be pro-rated if you cannot attend all class sessions.

COVID 19 POLICY

Proof of Covid-19 vaccination + booster, along with valid photo identification required for entry. Masks are no longer required but are encouraged and are available to those who request, however, it is up to the instructor’s discretion to require masks during the course.
